Matthew William Bartz
Matthew Bartz, the Senior Associate Attorney at Suzuki Law Offices, L.L.C.,
is licensed to practice law in Arizona and the United States District
Court. His memberships include the National Association of Criminal Defense
Lawyers, the Arizona State Bar and the J. Ruben Clark Law Society. Mr.
Bartz’s experience and skill as a trial attorney have been a tremendous
asset to the Suzuki Law Offices, L.L.C. over the years, and have even
earned him a place in The National Trial Lawyers: Top 100 Trial Lawyers
(2013) and The National Trial Lawyers: Top 40 Under 40 (2012 and 2013).
In 2004, Mr. Bartz had the honor of working as a Judicial Extern for Presiding
Justice Paul Turner of the California Court of Appeals. He also won the
Western Regional competition for the Association of Trial Lawyers of American
in 2006. Once he moved to Arizona, he went to work for the Maricopa County
Attorney’s Office as a
state prosecutor. While there,
he handled thousands of criminal matters—which ranged from complex drug trafficking and sex crime cases to
misdemeanor cases involving DUI and shoplifting. He also spent time working
for the Juvenile Crimes Bureau and Adult Crimes Trial Bureau as a criminal
Mr. Bartz is licensed to practice in all Arizona state courts and the United
States District Court, District of Arizona. He is a member of the State
Bar of Arizona, the J. Ruben Clark Law Society, and the National Association
of Criminal Defense Lawyers. His Pro Bono work includes volunteering with
the Executive Magic Makers program at Phoenix Children’s Hospital.
