3 Tips to Heatproof Your Car

Pool parties, cookouts, and vacations are on the horizon because summer is almost here! However, as all of us Phoenix folk know, that also means the three hottest months are of the year are just around the corner. To help you prevent auto accidents, Suzuki Law Offices is here with three tips to heatproof your car!

1. Keep Your Tires Inflated

Car tires are more likely to blowout during the summer season due to increased temperatures, but this tip can help you prevent that from happening! It’s a known fact that an under-inflated tire is more likely to blowout than a tire that’s appropriately filled. Therefore, if it’s been a while since you last checked your car’s tires, it may inspect them with a tire pressure gauge!

2. Check Your Car’s Fluids

Your car’s fluids are used up faster in hot weather, which means your car’s more susceptible to stalling or breaking down. Therefore, it’s time to check and replenish essential fluids in your car!

Some of the essential fluids in your car include:

  • Transmission fluid;
  • Power steering fluid;
  • Radiator fluid;
  • Motor oil;
  • Brake fluid.

3. Service Your Car’s Cooling System

Car engines are made to perform at high temperatures, but an overheated car can result in serious engine problems. Modern cars have built-in cooling systems which monitor your car’s temperature, but the summer weather can get the best of your rig. If it’s been a while since you last serviced your car’s cooling system, it may be a good idea to take it into the shop!

Remember: check your tires, check your fluids, and service that cooling system! We hope this blog gets your car (and you) through the summer with no incidents!
